California Residents: Proposition 65 Warning
Installed on a Hyundai Santa Cruz. There was some trail & error since the universal rubber expanders don’t firmly hold the rails. I replaced the expanders with a metal plate, and the entire assembly fit nicely and holds the rails firmly in place. Very nice product.
Installed on a 2020 RAM 1500. First I will start by saying I love the way they look and I would buy again. I would give 3.5 stars if I could. The install is tricky and definitely not as easy as the putco videos online. The bolts are barely long enough to drop the rubber anchor under 1 side of the metal lip of the bed socket. So when you tighten it up you are barely hanging on (mostly hooked to the plastic bed rail); which makes them a little wobbly. There is no way I would tie anything down to them, they cannot be anchored tight enough to support a tiedown. I think if the bolts were .5 to 1 inch longer you could get 2 sides of the rubber anchor under the metal lip of the socket and get a much better seating.
